This session features Mae Martin, creator and star of the TIFF Primetime selection Wayward, in a wide-ranging conversation on the ins and outs of contemporary series production. Drawing on their experience creating, co-showrunning, and starring in Wayward, as well as their previous experience on the Netflix series Feel Good, Martin will share insights on shaping a distinctive tone, collaborating with creative partners including Toni Collette and Sarah Gadon, and navigating the practical realities of bringing a new series to the screen.
